Time to get poptropical... I just listed to both in a row and feel like I just had one of those Willy Wonka candies that taste like a full meal... although instead of a full meal it was an epic dream/party. It seriously feels like I had a full day of perfect surf and am now relaxing on the beach with a cold beer and a bunch of buds watching the sunset... drinking in the warmth of life. Thank you Holidays & Javelin.
this track is perfectly suited for today... the storms behind us; a little bit of blue skies and time to have a little light hearted weekend fun. link to their site below for the free dload.
Claire Maguire is going places... Claire Maguire - The Last Dance (Chase & Status Remix)
Speaking of going places, next up is a track was just released by my favorite DJ from Nijmegan. Keljet has this consistency for turning out glorious music with great build ups and even better releases. I really can't get enough... Laidback Luke - Timebome (Keljet Remix) Laidback Luke ft Jonathan Mendelsohn - Timebomb (Keljet Remix) by keljet
Hey everyone... almost forgot about this little project. Lot of stuff going on most of which I have no complaints and am very thankful. Doing a little work and this song came on and I fell in love again... This is a track featured on Leighton's mixtape I featured on a here a little while back. incredible example of spacey laid back house completely soaked in an ambient groove...
Good morning world. I think you might like this mixtape from the curator of the K/V blog, Leighton Jones... ambient, deep, dark, funky, melodic... really good.
Phaseone is making some great hybrid of a slow and smooth booty jam infused with electronic and dubstep. I think you'll enjoy... You can download his download full cd here , although I highlighted the standout tracks below.
Phaseone - Love Test(Only)
This thing is just waiting to pull you into the boom boom room. Being with you for real (Phaseone Remix)
Its hard to explain my fondness for Mexican's With Guns without being at a loss of words. He expertly blends latin rythms with some sort of interpretation of a cholo infused dubstep including 3ball, cumbia and something inexplicable yet intoxicating... all I know is that his beats hit HARD and I love every new discovery...
Sums it up pretty nicely on his webiste: Imagine listening to a dubstep remix of an NWA track while doing a drive by if you just drank a bunch of lean while visiting the dirty south. Ahh good times.
What’s next for Mexicans with Guns? Avoid la migra (immigration), fight for the cause ( still currently looking for one), and make mas beats that go hard.
Hey Gang - Kinda crazy over here right now and I'm still in the throws of hosting/entertaining family for the holidays. The below video was too funny not to post and the Kaskade remix of JT is for the ladies... enjoy, and I should be back soon with more of the goods...
this song is utterly rediculous... can be annoying at times but irresistible the next minute. I was driving home from a day up in Tahoe and was completely spaced out on the road when the crazy synths build up snapped me out of it and took over my body
RCRD LBL's sums it up pretty nicely here: the synths are ludicrous, helter-skelter synths that build to a point where they sound like they're about to collapse off the side of a building with vertigo, before woozily climbing back down. You hear them a lot, but that's understandable, as they're essentially as close as anyone's ever gonna get to turning drug anxiety into sound.
